Ways Bloggers Can Use Twitter

Studies show that bloggers are very social online, and tend to be active on social media sites, including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter. With 11 Twitter accounts created every second; over 200 million tweets sent per day; and an estimated 500 million users; this site is growing in size and usage faster than its competitors.
What does this mean for tweeting bloggers?  Whenever your creative juices stop flowing, you can always visit this site for story ideas. Thus, following are 12 ways bloggers can use Twitter to overcome blogger’s block.
Interview Your Favorite Twitter Pals
You’ve connected with people on Twitter because of their kind spirits, common interests, or their support for your projects. Allow them to share their personal and professional background and Twitter experiences through interviews. This would not only give them a platform other than their own to share their stories; it would allow you both to develop a more personal connection offline. This is an excellent way to honor others who have blessed you.
List Your Twitter Groups
Twitter lists help you segment your followers by commonalities. They can be professional, personal or playful. You can create a list post highlighting a few or all of your lists. There are three ways to write these posts. First, you can write a list post with a brief explanation of why you created the lists and who you include on them. Second, you can write more detailed posts about each of your lists. Third, you can combine options one and two to create a series with the list post as the introduction to the series followed by the more in-depth stories.
Spotlight Interesting Conversations
You connect with different people for different reasons, and this is especially true on social media. Copy and paste conversations with your followers, or do a screen print to show the actual dialogue. You can also write a post in response to someone else’s comment.
Highlight Hashtags
Many companies and entrepreneurs use hashtags to categorize messages for specific topics, events or Twitter chats.  Several WordPress plugins are available that will allow you to follow these conversations in posts, pages or sidebars. Highlighting hashtags will position you as a resource, especially if your audience is not on Twitter.
Discuss Trending Topics
There are always ten topics trending on Twitter at any given time. Writing about and promoting subjects while they’re hot is sure to drive traffic to your site. Who knows? Maybe your blog post will keep that topic trending longer than it would have been.
Share Your Twitter Experience
Let your readers know how you got started on Twitter, why you joined the community, and if it has been beneficial to you personally or professionally. Discuss some of the connections you’ve made, and how those online connections turned into offline opportunities. Point out what you like most and least about the site. Be sure to ask your audience to share their Twitter experiences either as comments or guest posts.
Post Compliments  and Testimonials
By posting your compliments, you can show your blogging audience how you are adding value to your Twitter followers. You can copy and paste them or print your screen. For the comments that appear more as testimonials, be sure to include those on your testimonials page. If you don’t have such a page, use these comments to start one.
